Would dry cleaning a Pleather jacket stop colour from running?

So i bought a pleather (fake leather) hooded black jacket a week ago and decided that it didn't need to be washed before wear. Unfortunately i wore it on a rainy day and notice some ink discharge on my hard and the shirt i was wearing. When i got home i noticed the Tag said "Dry clean only:. Would dry cleaning this garmet stop ink from running if it were to get wet again? Or do i just have to NEVER let this jacket get wet?
