This chick at work is really a bother? ?

She's sweet and she's positive, but she lives in La La Land and I have no clue what color the sky is over there. She's full of "this one time at band camp" stories and her voice shreds through my sanity w/i the first 2 mins. She makes comments like, "I'm not racist, I love black people." I'm not black, but it offends me because she really doesn't like black people. She's a bother to everyone, but she does a good job. Lately she has begun to ignore her duties by trying to learn mine. I'm all for her learning new skills but she keeps me from doing my job and pushes her duties off on others and we're all pretty fed up with her. I'll be promoted very soon, should I request that we get rid of her? She's been told bluntly how annoying she is, but it has no effect.
