Is it ever ok to pas g while inside my own work cubicle?

I usualy try to ask permissions from my cubicle co worker pal, but she just keeps ignoring the question and shoos her hand at me. Does "yes, Ok- go ahead" or "leave me alone" or "no, do not p ges"? I keep a fan on my desk to airate the smell and muffles the noise. I also try to let it out slow so that it does not call too much attention to our cubicle.
