Help for a felon.......?

i was convicted of 2 burglaries. one in 1997 and another in 2000. i have been in no trouble since and i'm trying to do right and raise a family. but everytime i apply for a job to better myself i get denied because of my crimes. can anyone help me with this problem? how can they expect me to blend into society when i am constantly shuned? i am trying hard to remain focused and do the right thing, but some times i feel it's all for nothing. please help me
