Hauling 2500 lbs in a truck ?

Need to haul a pallet of sod. I'm told this weighs approx 2500 lbs. I have 2 truck choices. Id rather take the Tundra because the other is going to be more difficult to get/borrow. So the Tundra is obviously a half ton, its a 2006 model. I'm not sure I can put 2500 lbs in the bed of this truck safely. The other truck is a 1 ton Dodge Ram diesel dually. What do you think? Yeah I know, the obvious choice here, but wanting to know if the Tundra can handle that weight.
