Are Chihuahuas submissive?

I think it depends on their early experiences. I have a chihuahua that was held by the breeder's family from birth till we adopted it, and she is absolutely the sweetest most well behaved and submissive little creature God could have created. But I think it all has to do with her early experiences and bonding with humans. I say this because when I was a girl I was once hired to babysit a chihuahua, and that dog was so mean and aggressive I shut myself in the bathroom to get away from it until the owner came home. So, I've experienced the sweetest, most docile chihuahua on earth and the meanest one ever. I think it depends on both the genetics and the 'upbringing', especially early intensive human handling and bonding. Sola
