3-1 printer recommendations?

My experience with hp printers has overall been less than satisfactory to be honest. I have had 3 and every one has had issues with drivers and stuff. I have had 2 Canon all in one printers and both are several years old and work GREAT. black ink for one of them is $8 and the other isn't much more. Great quality printing and the printers themselves seem to hold up very well. And I have had no trouble at all with drivers or anything with them.
